Panel Discussions

In order to better serve the community and grow as social change agents SOLID USC hosted multiple panel discussion throughout the semester to discuss the state of education not only in Los Angeles but in America. These panels included a host of professors, community leaders and students focused on creating sustainable change in education in the coming decade.

SOLID College Conference

​

​The SOLID College Conference is an empowerment conference for families of color currently residing in the Los Angeles area. The conference brings a host of speakers, students and community partners together to provide vital information to high school students about the path to college, financial literacy and parent involvement.

Partnerships & Outreach

​​SOLID USC is committed to partnering with community organizations aligned with its missions and goals. The organization has partnered with Young Black Scholars and Children Youth and Family Collaborative. SOLID is looking to partner with even more organizations in 2013 to help expand its reach and support other projects in the LA community.

Mentor Programs

​

SOLID USC is committed to providing educational resources to undeserved youth in the Los Angeles community. Each semester the organization partners with community organizations to provide tutoring assistants at local high schools in the LA area.
